Amit Kumar Garg is a Commerce Graduate and has completed Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management (with special focus on rural finance) from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. Amit did his Internship from ORG Centre for Social Research, at the Nielsen Company in Delhi where his work included research design, conducting training programmes for the field surveyors, and final execution of the research plan.
Amit was part of the research team that worked with UNODC on designing an effective communication strategy for drug users and general population by analysing the survey data through various statistical tools and techniques.
During his time at MicroSave, Amit has worked extensively on reviewing operations of various MFIs, strategic business planning, process mapping and delinquency management with variety of MFIs in the north and north-east of India. His areas of interest are strategic business planning, process mapping, financial management, new product design, human resource management and costing & pricing of financial services
