Anup Singh completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management at the Indian Institute of Forest Management in Bhopal with specialisation in micro finance and data analysis. He also holds a Bachelor's in Technology (Food and Dairy Technology) with Honours from the Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur.
His experience in microfinance was initially at the Centre for Microfinance, Chennai from which he was assisting MFIs such as Cashpor and Spandana to design and implement a variety of credit products (especially individual lending products) and helping them create market linkages.
In his time with MicroSave Anup has worked extensively on rapid institutional assessment, strategic business planning (including financial projections using MicroFin), operations and process improvement, market research for microfinance, loan portfolio audit and MIS. His areas of interest include market research, product development, financial planning, MIS for MFIs and exploring market linkages. Anup has worked on these in India, Philippines Sri Lanka and China.
